The small studio advantage

Most delay in a software project is not typing. It is translation: from business goal to brief, from brief to design, from design to ticket, from ticket to code. Every translation loses something and costs a week.

When the same person carries the decision from the first call to production, the loss is close to zero. The trade-off is capacity, not quality — which is why scope discipline matters more than headcount.
